CARA BROOKINS’ SOLUTION:
60-minute stage interview alongside Hope Brookins
Full day of community engagement and mentorship-focused conversation
To spotlight the power of personal transformation and the importance of mentorship, Cara Brookins was invited to take the stage for a live interview alongside her daughter, Hope Brookins. Together, they shared the deeply personal story of rebuilding their lives after domestic violence and taking on the ambitious task of constructing their own home with no prior experience, an act of defiance against fear and a model of what’s possible when women support each other in bold pursuits.
Their candid conversation served as both inspiration and a practical example of the mission at the summit’s core: creating systems of support that allow single mothers to thrive. Cara and Hope spoke directly to the importance of representation, resource access, and community when taking on seemingly impossible goals, key themes that aligned with the launch of the Global Mentorship Program.
Throughout the day, Cara continued to engage with attendees in informal follow-up sessions, helping to lay the foundation for deeper connections between global leaders and the local women the program aims to serve. Her presence added a powerful personal dimension to a day centered around collective empowerment and lasting impact.
