At the SC&RA Annual Conference, industry leaders gather to celebrate innovation, tackle regulation challenges, and advance safety across crane, rigging, and transport services. The 2022 event in Carlsbad called for a keynote that would honor the grit of the industry while speaking to deeper personal resilience.
Cara Brookins closed the conference with “Rise & Resilience,” bringing a powerful human narrative to an audience used to managing massive equipment and high-stakes operations. Her story of leading her family through adversity resonated with attendees navigating workforce retention, operational risk, and long-haul leadership challenges.
In order to personalize her message, Cara spent additional time with the group, including ab evening all white gala reception and dinner with the group and family members
Attendees responded with enthusiasm, sharing afterward that the keynote delivered not just motivation but a mindset. As one planner put it, “Cara helped our members walk out stronger than they walked in.” The session became a standout moment in a week packed with technical insights and regulatory discussion.
