The Spark of Hope Gala is the signature annual fundraiser for the Single Parent Scholarship Fund of Northwest Arkansas—a night designed to honor students, celebrate donors, and reinforce a mission of transformation through education.

To close the evening on a powerful note, Cara Brookins was invited to share her story with 450 guests at the Fayetteville Town Center. Her keynote and Q&A, delivered during the awards portion of the night, focused on perseverance, reinvention, and belief in one’s potential, paralleling the experiences of SPSF scholarship recipients.

Cara created a custom slideshow that played as she spoke, tying personal anecdotes to the evening’s themes of generosity and hope. She concluded by reiterating the donation ask, affirming how each gift directly supports families working toward brighter futures.

Guests then met Cara in the exhibit hall for a book signing sponsored by Macmillan, where conversations deepened the impact of her message. Her ability to personalize and uplift made the Spark of Hope Gala both memorable and mission-driven.

“Part business, part personal development, Cara delivers clear ways to jumpstart your ideas.”
