CARA BROOKINS’ SOLUTION:

  • 45-minute keynote: “Building a Bigger Future”

  • 30-minute live Q&A and post-event book signing

  • Full sound check and logistics with Woodland Auditorium staff

  • Live radio show to promote the event

Since 2012, the Ouachita Speaker Series has enriched Hot Springs Village with speakers who challenge assumptions and spark dialogue. For this season’s headline event, organizers tapped Cara Brookins to share “Building a Bigger Future.”

Cara took the stage at Woodland Auditorium, guiding the audience through her remarkable journey from domestic-violence survivor to DIY homebuilder and bestselling author. Her narrative blended practical goal-setting with a call to confront fear head-on, resonating with retirees, entrepreneurs, and students alike.

A lively Q&A extended the conversation, and the evening ended with a packed book-signing line. Attendees left talking about new projects, volunteer ideas, and personal dreams, exactly the ripple effect the Series aims to create.

“Her story is believable, heartfelt and applies to everyone wanting to improve their outlook and their life.”
