CHALLENGE: Attracting and retaining top talent while maintaining a positive culture is a top focus for Insulate America. They wanted to surprise attendees with an inspiring keynote leading into a hands-on community service project, reinforcing themes of teamwork, purpose, and giving back.

Insulate America’s annual stakeholder meeting is more than a business update, it’s a celebration of community, leadership, and purpose. For their gathering at Pebble Beach, Cara Brookins was invited to speak, but also to help deliver a powerful surprise: a community building project supporting local children facing significant health problems.
Cara opened the day with “Rise & Resilience – The True Story,” sharing how she rebuilt her life and a home for her children from the ground up. The keynote set the tone for what came next: attendees were led outside where they learned they would be constructing six custom “clubhouses for kids” facing serious life challenges.
In a surprise transition, Cara became the event’s “Project Manager,” guiding groups of volunteers in the hands-on effort. Her presence and leadership transformed the experience from corporate giving to a deeply personal team-building moment. The emotional impact and message of resilience carried through from stage to sawdust, making this one of Insulate America’s most unforgettable events.
