Jordan Booker has had a rough month.  His parents were killed in a car crash and now he and his orphaned sister find themselves in a speck-on-the-map town.  Aunt Maggie is  like a prison warden, and to top it all off — Jordan doesn't even have a place to play basketball.

While searching for treasure in a old shed, Jordan discovers strange items that will forever change his life.  At first, he believes they are from a crashed alien space craft, but the truth is even more bizarre.

Jordan travels to a world of multicolored trees and prehistoric animals.  He will have to learn to survive, and find his way home.  Humans and animals become both friend and enemy in the odd place.  Will Jordan make it home?  Will he be forced to abandon his best friend ?
