Life continues to be insanely busy
– but I wouldn't have it
any other way. I have several new manuscripts completed and will market
them as I find the time. I'm enrolled at UALR as a professional and
Technical writing major.

I'm doing freelance work for the Arkansas Democrat Gazette, so
the newspaper world is claiming large chunks of my life. I'm enjoying it
immensely.

I've learned that Freelance writing must be done
for the love of words rather than the love of money. I'm still giving presentations about Doris Free
and will be doing several school workshops this year as
well.

The
Ozark Creative Writers conference in October was spectacular - but I didn't get
to go! I'll be there in 2008 and look forward to reconnecting with many
friends and meeting great writers.

I
was a keynote speaker at the OWL conference in Branson in May. The
focus was on Character Development and the use of body language. We had a
great time! Terry Burns was at the November meeting and spoke about
finding an agent. Read more

Society of Children's Book Writers and Illustrators (SCBWI)
is one of my favorite writing groups. They offer tons of support,
conferences, and local critique groups.

Fiction Writers of Central Arkansas (FWCA) meets monthly in Little Rock for
great speakers and fellowship. They have a number of small critique groups
that meet regularly in the surrounding area.
