I attended the SCBWI conference in Conway this spring and enjoyed it immensely. Representatives from Harcourt and Scholastic were in attendance.

The Ozark Creative Writers conference is coming up in October. I missed last year so I'm thrilled to be attending again.

I now offer individual help for beginning writers. See the 'Writing Help!' section on the left.

I'm a member of the Fiction Writers of Central Arkansas, Society of Children's Book Writers and Illustrators and the Central Arkansas Creative Writers. I meet with a critique group twice each month to learn from other writers and enjoy their company.

Freelance!

Writing novels is my passion and I dream that someday it will be my full time job. In the mean time, I develop new software as a computer programmer/systems analyst by day and write during every spare moment.

I am a freelance feature writer for the Arkansas Democrat Gazette. Newspaper and magazine articles, along with speaking engagements, fill the gaps and hone my skills.

Laugh On!

Everyday, life presents us with the opportunity to laugh at ourselves. Be it mishap, misfortune, misunderstanding, mistake, or a just plain mischief, if you can laugh through the hard times – your chances of survival increase exponentially.
