  Books I want to write...

                      Ideas!

Below are a few ideas I hope to pen soon.  (note the titles are working titles only.)  There are many more, but I may need two or three life times to complete them.

If you are a publisher or editor and have a specific interest, email me!

Jump, Shoot, Cheer!  A basketball/cheerleading book for young teens.  Jada's mother is hospitalized while undergoing cancer treatments and she must go live with her Dad and step Mom.  Basketball has been Jada's passion but her new school doesn't even have a girls team.  Will an accidental assignment to the cheerleading squad be the answer, or will lack of rhythm seal her fate?    (This novel is in first person, present tense which has been a lot of fun!)  Editors please email for a sample or synopsis.

Cellular.  A young adult or adult novel about some unusual cell phones and the peculiar way they affect their owner's lives.

Rise.  An adult nonfiction chronicling a year of my life when my children and I built a house from the ground up by ourselves.

George.  A historical fiction novel for middle grade students.  A large family moves from Wisconsin to Arkansas during America's Great Depression.  They must learn a new way of farming and interacting in this foreign society.

Now And Then.  A weekly syndicated Column or nonfiction book.

Virginia.  A middle grade series.  The story of an orphan girl who discovers creatures in the forest near her adult brother's home.

Email Travel.  A middle grade or young adult novel following emails that seem to be coming from the future.

Color Blind.  An adult novel where nothing is as it seems.  An elderly woman passes the multicultural story of her life to her floundering grandchildren who face race conflicts.

I have a large journal full of ideas and new ones come up all the time.  If you are a publisher interested in contract work, send me an email and we may be interested in working together.
